Mixing, Dual Encoding, Objects and Classes
Being a lover of both music and technology..as an ardent admirer of the greatness of the parallel universes of programming and music..(both are so vast that they give justice to the word 'universe').. I cannot help but draw inferences about the similarites between the two. And remarkable how both fields have changed in the last 40 years. The days of Procedural programming were so different. And Simple. Almost like the Hindi film music of the 60's. Those days songs had a only a couple of musicians playing select instruments. No digital mixing, sound engineering, watching out for volume balances and dual channel encoding, no surround sound, 1000 sound keyboards etc etc...and yet it was so great. Compare it with Procedural programming. No hassels of Objects, Classes, Encapsulation, Polymorphism, Abstraction, Inheritance, Operator Overloading etc etc... and I wonder why things have to change. Why would someone want to think of all these..can we keep life simple for once please!! I know I know..I can give an hour long speech about the benefits of OO, but today is not the day. Why? Coz I have been 'refreshing' my fundamentals(??) :-) for the past two days...and if you think 'so what'? Well..go figure this..
What does a protected member look like to other classes trying to use the subclass-outside-the-package to get to the subclass' inherited protected superclass member?
Btw, this makes *perfect* sense to me now :)

I went to the Chicago Auto Show a couple of weeks ago with a bunch of my friends and it was fabulous. Never in my life had I imagined that I would actually get to sit in a Porshce or a BMW and loads of other fancy breeds which are so costly that you need a calculator to count the zeros in their price! I was inspired...inspired by the engineering and designing brains that have made such wonderful machines by sheer imagination..and inspired to work hard enough to buy one of these someday. InshaAllah....

Of Science and the Human heart, there is not limit..
there is no failure here sweetheart, its just when you quit...
